Special Agent Zachary Keller, age 39, was born in Reno, Nevada, and moved to Vermont when he was 16. Raised by his upper-middle class parents, he had a fairly normal life until his late teens. After his relationship with his father became strained, he signed his life away by joining the military straight out of high school.Deployed to Iraq shortly after training, he spent the next two years stationed there until he was ultimately injured, almost fatally, during combat and discharged.Moving back home to Vermont, and swiftly moving to New Jersey instead, he applied for the FBI academy, where he could use the skills he learned from his time in the military.Zachary suffers from post traumatic stress disorder as a result of his deployment in the middle east. Although he copes with it well, there's times in which it's been triggered while working, which has caused him issues throughout his career.Investigating mostly murder cases and violent crime, focusing mostly on the intelligence side of things, although his military background aids in any physical altercations.
